PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A 20-year-old man is recovering from a shooting Wednesday morning in Frankford that filled a home filled with children with bullets, according to Philadelphia police. This happened around noon. 01.30 in the 5200 block on Oakland Street.
Authorities told CBS3’s Wakisha Bailey that they believe this was an incident of domestic violence; Investigators say they believe the victim’s ex-boyfriend is involved.

Officers responded to the home and discovered a lawn full of grenade shells from two separate caliber semi-automatic weapons. Investigators said the victim was most likely shot on the porch.

According to police, the victim’s girlfriend was upstairs with children; their age varies between 11 months and 12 years. Chief Inspector Scott Small said at least five bullets reached inside the home.

“There were several bullet holes going through the windshield. At least 5 of the bullets entered the property and got stuck in the living room walls,” Small said. hit by shots. “
The victim’s girlfriend took him to the hospital before police arrived. No one in the home was injured.
The shooting is still under investigation.
